Lock My Devices — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything people ask about locking Android devices with Lock My Devices.

What is Lock My Devices?

Lock My Devices is an Android security app by QuanSystem. It locks the screens of all your Android phones and tablets that share the same user code — instantly from the app or website, or automatically at a scheduled time.

How do I lock my Android phone remotely?

Install Lock My Devices on the phone, save a user code and grant Device Administrator Permission. Later, tap Lock All Devices on another device with the same code, or enter the code on lockmydevices.quansystem.com. The phone locks as soon as the command arrives.

What is the user code?

It is a code you choose yourself on the app’s User Code screen. All devices saved with the same code form one group and lock together. There is no account or password besides this code.

How do I change my user code?

Open the app, edit the code on the User Code screen and tap Continue. Do the same on every device you want in the group so they all share the new code.

Why does the app need Device Administrator Permission?

Android only lets an app lock the screen if it is an active device administrator. Lock My Devices requests just one policy, “force lock”, so it cannot erase the device, change passwords or read your data.

What happens if the device is offline when I lock it?

Firebase Cloud Messaging holds the lock command and delivers it when the device reconnects to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Scheduled locks do not need the internet at all.

Can I unlock a device remotely?

No. Remote unlock would be a security risk. A locked device is unlocked with its own PIN, pattern, password, fingerprint or face, as usual.

Can Lock My Devices locate or erase a lost phone?

No, it focuses on locking. Lock the screen first with Lock My Devices, then use Google Find My Device to ring, locate or erase the phone if needed.

How does the scheduled lock work?

Tap Select Date and Time, choose when to lock and tap Save Lock Setting. Android’s exact alarm locks the device at that moment, and the schedule is restored automatically if the device restarts.

Does the app store my fingerprint or face data?

No. Biometric verification is done entirely by Android. The app only receives a yes/no result and never stores or sends biometric data.

Is Lock My Devices a paid app?

Yes. Lock My Devices is a paid app on Google Play: you buy it once, with no subscription and no account. The current price for your country is shown on Google Play. You can install it on your other Android devices that use the same Google account without paying again.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not at the moment. Lock My Devices is available for Android 7.0 and later; the website lock page works in any browser, including on an iPhone.

What if someone else learns my code?

They could lock — but not unlock or open — your devices. Change the code on all your devices from the User Code screen and choose a longer, unique one.
